Portfolio

Much of what I have done since 1989 has been for the former Majestic Mortgage Corp. and for Majestic Consulting. Projects include a wide range of marketing, including web site content development, print collateral, email newsletters and marketing campaigns and trade show displays.

I directed development of a syndication program providing paid content — a daily report on the mortgage market geared for consumer — to mortgage companies across the country. I wrote the deadline content each business morning.

Of course, you can assess my writing on this site. Other sites where my writing is featured include:

E-Commerce Site

Conscious Cup Coffee, www.ConsciousCup.com, is built on an open source, content management system. Content and design take front stage with the open source software Joomla providing a robust back end with easy-to-use administration functions.

News focus for a mortgage originator

Carrie Hintz is a former colleague at Majestic Mortgage, which merged into Cherry Creek Mortgage Company in earlCarrie Hintzy 2006. She needed a personally branded site that is easy to update.

The site is based on WordPress using a magazine design that permits more varied presentation of content between categorized blog posts and pages. A simple, visual training booklet helps Carrie publish new content and ensure key elements are presented and easily accessible to her customers and business partners.

I wrote the original content. Carrie is excited about the prospects of using WordPress to engage her community. Carrie’s business is relational so the site avoids the hard-sell of most in her industry with its editorial design and advice-focused content.

Dynamically Branded Site

While the Majestic Mortgage web site was rebranded to Cherry Creek Mortgage Company, the core functions remain:

  • A corporate web site when displayed as www.majestic-mortgage.com
  • A personal web site, using session parameters, when a mortgage consultant’s domain was used, as in www.kevinmcgovern.biz.

(These sites are no longer maintained or functional.)

The same web site was used in both examples above, not only call up a personal photo but change all contact items between company and consultant. Auto responders are widely used to help capture lead inquires for follow up. The auto responders are sensitive to the branding parameters, delivering leads promptly to the right person as well as to a administrative back end database for sales management.

Administration of the single web site with the rebranding functions keeps the company’s message consistent and facilitates legal compliance.

Lead Generation

Ed Conarchy ranks among the top mortgage originators in the country. He’s particular about the professionalism projected by his web sites, one for consumers and another for business-to-business. Both sites rely on permission based marketing techniques to qualify and capture lead inquiries for personal follow up. The web sites provide clear but distinctive branding images with tight language.

The consumer web site, www.edconarchy.com, is integrated with a radio promotion and is turning up approximately 140 qualified leads per week for Ed’s staff to follow up. Ed’s business website, www.edconarchy.biz, promotes his popular RSS podcast, consulting services and will soon expand as a recruiting site.

The sites were both built on a CMS platform that permits Ed and his team immediate access to update podcasts and other content.
